What to expect

Plan the installation properly from the start.

We begin with the room, the property and what you want to improve. From there we can look at system size, unit positions, pipe routes, drainage and the electrical requirements.

01

Single split or multi split

A single split serves one indoor unit from one outdoor unit. Multi split arrangements can serve several rooms from one outdoor unit. The right choice depends on layout, routes, control and the building.

02

Indoor unit position

Airflow, noise, appearance and future service access all matter. We look for a position that works well without dominating the room.

03

Outdoor unit position

Airflow, access, noise, neighbours and appearance are all considered before the outdoor unit position is agreed.

04

Pipework and drainage

Planning the route early helps keep pipework and condensate drainage neat and avoids awkward compromises later in the job.

05

Electrical supply

The electrical requirements depend on the system and the property. We factor these into the installation plan rather than expecting you to work them out.

06

Commissioning and handover

Once the system is installed, it is set up and checked before we talk you through the controls, operating modes and basic care.

Useful to know

Air conditioning installation across Yorkshire and the North East.

Air conditioning can be a practical way to improve bedrooms, loft rooms, living spaces, home offices and garden rooms that are difficult to keep comfortable. Many modern split systems can also provide heating in cooler weather.

We install air conditioning across Yorkshire and the North East, including York, Leeds, Harrogate, Thirsk, Northallerton, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, Darlington, Newcastle and Sunderland.

What makes a good air conditioning installation?

The equipment is only one part of a good installation. Correct sizing, airflow, noise, indoor and outdoor unit positions, drainage, pipe routes, electrical requirements and future service access all need to work together.

The finished appearance matters too. We plan routes and positions before work starts so the installation feels considered rather than added as an afterthought.

Common questions

Questions people ask before getting in touch.

Can air conditioning heat as well as cool?

Yes. Many modern split systems are reversible heat pumps, so the same system can provide cooling in summer and heating in cooler weather.

Do I need air conditioning in every room?

No. Many customers start with the rooms that cause the biggest comfort problem, such as a bedroom, loft room, home office or garden room.

How do you know what size air conditioner I need?

Sizing should consider the room, glazing, orientation, insulation, occupancy, equipment and how the space is used. You do not need to calculate this before asking for a quote.
